Water Wisteria

Overview

Water wisteria is a fast, forgiving stem plant with lacy, fern-like leaves that grows so quickly it works as an instant nutrient sponge and algae-starver for a new tank. It grows rooted or floating, needs no CO2, and roots from almost any trimming. (Hygrophila difformis.)

Marshy ground and stream margins across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Bright green stems with deeply cut, lacy leaves underwater (rounder leaves grown above water); a big, feathery, fast-filling plant.

Care
