A windowless bathroom, an interior office, a basement flat: no window means no daylight, and that is a harder problem than a dim corner. This list is short on purpose. Every plant here is one whose own care notes describe it surviving without a window - under office lighting, away from windows, or lit only from overhead - or one that tolerates the lowest light and forgives neglect while it does so.

Be honest about what "no window" means: plants eat light, and a room with none will slowly starve even the toughest of these. The fix is cheap - an ordinary LED lamp on a timer for eight to ten hours a day turns a windowless room into a workable one. Expect slow growth, water much less often than you would by a window, and rotate plants out to a brighter room for a few weeks if they start reaching.
